Accessibility statement
Accessibility at WARDOW
It goes without saying for us that wardow.com should be accessible to everyone – regardless of physical or technical limitations. Removing digital barriers is a priority for us and an integral part of how we build and maintain our shop.
Our approach
At WARDOW, accessibility is treated as a fixed requirement within all design and technical decisions. Our teams follow recognised standards for accessible and inclusive design. Through regular internal reviews, we document our progress and continue to improve our implementation.
Conformance status
We are actively working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and the European standard EN 301 549, as required by the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the German Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG). Wardow.com currently meets these standards in part. The core functions and content of the shop are accessible; individual areas are still being updated.
What is already accessible
Our implementation focuses on the essential areas of the shop. All product images include descriptive alternative texts. Colour contrast meets the WCAG Level AA requirements. Wardow.com is fully keyboard-navigable; interactive elements are clearly marked with visible focus indicators. Content remains usable when zoomed up to 200%, and the layout adapts automatically to portrait and landscape orientation. The use of semantic HTML and ARIA roles ensures compatibility with common screen readers. Videos published after 28 June 2025 include subtitles.
Known limitations
We continuously work to identify and address existing barriers. Parts of the checkout process are handled by external payment providers (e.g. Klarna, PayPal) - we have no influence over their technical implementation. Where possible, we provide accessible alternatives.
Technical foundations
Accessibility on wardow.com is built on the following technologies: HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS and JavaScript. For the best experience with assistive technologies such as NVDA, VoiceOver or TalkBack, we recommend using an up-to-date browser such as Google Chrome, Safari or Edge.
Feedback and contact
If you experience difficulties accessing wardow.com or have a suggestion for improvement, you can contact us directly. We take every piece of feedback seriously and will respond as quickly as possible.
