Etro bags, wallets and shoppers combine Italian design with oriental flair
The Italian label Etro has been a trendsetter since the late 1960s. Since then, Etro bags, fashion and accessories have made their mark across the globe – from Italy to Paris to Tokyo: colourful and charming Etro bags can be found everywhere. The family-run label Etro offers bags and fashion with a unique charm
The label was founded in 1968 by Gerolamo Etro. An economist with a passion for travel, he drew inspiration from the Orient to create his own brand. The vibrant patterns and floral elements found on Etro bags, wallets and accessories brought Paisley back into fashion in the 1980s. Etro bags have retained this colourful, lively spirit – it remains the brand’s signature. Etro is still family-owned and run by the brothers Ippolito, Jacopo and Kean Etro. Their sister Veronica has also worked as a designer for the brand since 1998. Today, Etro offers travel bags, fragrances and jewellery, and has grown into a full lifestyle brand.
